Food, friends and cars at one of most scenic spots on Oahu made for a very well attended Cars and Coffee Meetup in January. Thanks go to the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park and the Aloha Mustang and Shelby Club of Hawaii for putting together a unique and somewhat different event. This was probably the first time for a show and shine at a memorial park; at least in Hawaii.
(There’s talk of doing it again later this year.)
If you weren’t able to make it last month you can see some of the photos of that day in the Cars and Coffee Photo Gallery at:
You can also find more photos on the Cars and Coffee Facebook page at:
Big mahalos to Steven Onoue (Aloha Mustang and Shelby Club) and Sara Quitt (Valley of the Temples) for putting this together.
I’d also like to thank Kelvin Tso (VQ I.N.C.) for help with photography and web site administration. He took photos of the event and posted them in the web site Photo Gallery. Thank you… that’s helped me immensely!
Windward Oahu Hana Hou!
Cars and Coffee Hawaii again heads to Windward Oahu for the February meetup. This time to the Aikahi Park Shopping Center on Kaneohe Bay Drive.
We were invited by the shopping center to stage two Saturday morning events this year, this month and in August. The popular Classic Car Cruise Night & Car Show is also held at the shopping center.
The drive out to Windward Oahu is always a scenic drive from town, with many curves and breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. It’s an opportunity for car enthusiasts to include a pre or post meet island cruise with fellow club members.
