Kapolei Village Center will be the site for the July Cars and Coffee Show and Shine. This will be a first time in West Oahu, as all previous Cars and Coffee events have been in Honolulu.
Hosting this month’s meet will be Redline 808 and Old School Imports Hawaii who will be helping with staging, safety and hospitality. Chad Iwasaki of Redline and Tommy Dolormente of OSI have been busy getting the word out. Thanks Redline 808 and Old School for stepping up to help.
Kapolei Village Center is at the intersection of Kapolei Parkway and Wakea Street. Foodland anchors the shopping center which includes The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Daiichi Ramen, Domino’s Pizza, Curry House, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers and Hot Pot Shabu Shabu House. It’s a great location to have lunch after the meet.
Bring your shine on and stop by from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. It’s free, so invite your friends and family, too.

End of the Line for Aina Haina
We’re canceling the remaining reservations at the Aina Haina School and won’t return unless things change in regards to the parking. For the brave souls who participated (or tried to attend) in the June show and shine we’re very sorry for the huge mess. The school was not aware of reservations by the childrens’ baseball league for the use of the City and County park.
This resulted in a difficult parking battle in which we lost. The park users dominated the parking very early in the morning for their season’s island wide tournament playoff. This continue for the rest of the day leaving us very little.
I want to thank our automobile enthusiast community on how well they handled themselves. I am proud that our people were the most polite and easy-going during the morning crush. The leaders of the keiki league were also very understanding and helpful so “kudos” go to them as well.
The Tesla Club had a very good showing in the June meet. Six of their members participated and shared their awesome motors with everyone. Their president, Nan Vinton, was pleasantly surprised and is looking forward to more great activities with her group.
To replace Aina Haina we’re returning to the rooftop parking area at Kapahulu Safeway for the months of August and October. Here are photos from our May Cars and Coffee at that location: http://carsandcoffeehawaii.org/photo-gallery/wppaspec/oc1/cv0/ab5
Aloha and see you at Cars and Coffee Kapolei!
